Felicitation of cloths for poor & needy people of villages in India
Main Article Content
Abstract
The food, clothing, and housing are the basic needs of pupils. There are a number of people in the world who live below the poverty line, lacking proper food to eat, clothes to cover their bodies, and homes to live in. The government is providing assistance to the poor and needy in various ways. The Indian government offers different types of RASHAN CARDS to Indian families based on their annual incomes, such as BPL, APL, and KhadyaSuraksha cards, to help them obtain basic food supplies. Additionally, there are several schemes aimed at providing economic aid to construct homes, such as Indira AawasYogana. Moreover, there are various employment schemes for the poor to improve their livelihoods.
In this research paper, we propose a scheme/system that caters to the need for clothing and shoes for the poor and needy people of any age in Uttarakhand initially, and later extend it to other states. The proposed system involves collecting unused/old clothes and shoes from capable (rich) individuals as donations. After processing, including tailoring, washing, and packaging, we distribute these items to the needy people on a regular basis. The system will focus particularly on children and women in villages and will be free from caste, region, and religion-based discrimination.
Methods/Statistical analysis: We collected data from the villages of Uttarakhand and found that many poor people are unable to afford sufficient clothing for themselves or their children. A similar situation exists in the rural areas of Uttar Pradesh (U.P) as well.
Findings: Despite the government's efforts to provide food and housing to the poor and needy, there remains a significant need for clothing among India's poor, especially in rural areas. The proposed scheme will contribute to the betterment of society.
Improvements/Applications: We have proposed a scheme for clothing distribution. The model is shown in the figure below.
