The Peer Review Process at IJCERT Journal

1. Submission and Initial Screening

Upon receiving a manuscript, the editorial team conducts a preliminary screening to assess:

  • Adherence to Guidelines: Authors must comply with our submission format and ethical policies.

2. Assignment to Reviewers

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to expert peer reviewers based on their area of expertise. IJCERT follows a double-blind peer review system, ensuring anonymity for both authors and reviewers to maintain fairness and objectivity.

3. Review Process

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:

  • References & Citations: Proper acknowledgment of prior work.

Reviewers provide constructive feedback and one of the following recommendations:

  • Major revisions required

  • Reject

4. Author Revisions & Resubmission

If revisions are requested, authors must address all reviewer comments and resubmit the manuscript within the given timeframe. The revised manuscript may undergo another round of review to ensure all concerns are resolved.

5. Editorial Decision

The editorial board assesses the final manuscript based on reviewer feedback and makes one of the following decisions:

  • Acceptance for Publication: If all requirements are met.

  • Further Revisions: If minor improvements are needed.

  • Rejection: If the manuscript fails to meet the journal’s standards.

6. Copyediting & Publication

Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting and formatting before final publication. Authors receive proofs for final approval before online publication in the respective journal issue.

7. Post-Publication Ethics & Corrections

IJCERT upholds ethical publishing practices. If post-publication issues arise, such as errors or ethical concerns, appropriate corrections or retractions will be issued in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
