Refund & Cancellation Policy – IJCERT Journal

At IJCERT Journal, we prioritize transparency and fairness in our Refund & Cancellation Policy to maintain trust with our authors, reviewers, and subscribers. This policy outlines the terms under which refunds and cancellations may be requested and processed.

1. Article Processing Charges (APCs) and Refund Eligibility

IJCERT Journal does not charge any fees for manuscript submission or peer review. Article Processing Charges (APCs) are applicable only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. These charges cover editorial processing, online hosting, and long-term preservation. APCs are non-refundable except under the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate Payment: If an author has inadvertently made multiple payments for the same manuscript, the excess amount will be refunded upon request.

  • Technical Error: If a payment was deducted but not recorded in our system due to a technical issue, a full refund will be processed.

  • Manuscript Withdrawal Before Payment: If an author decides to withdraw the manuscript before making the APC payment, no charges will apply.

  • Rejection Due to Editorial Oversight: If a submission is accepted but later found to be ineligible due to an error on our part, a partial refund may be considered.

2. Non-Refundable Circumstances

IJCERT does not provide refunds in the following cases:

  • Manuscript Rejection After Acceptance: Once the APC has been paid and the article is prepared for publication, the fee is non-refundable.

  • Author-Initiated Withdrawal After Payment: If an author withdraws their manuscript after paying the APC, no refund will be granted.

  • Failure to Meet Author Guidelines: If a manuscript is found to violate submission guidelines, ethical misconduct, or plagiarism after payment, the APC is non-refundable.

  • Delays in the Publication Process: Due to the nature of scholarly publishing, processing times may vary. Refunds are not granted for delays unless they exceed an unreasonable timeframe beyond the journal’s control.

3. Conference Registration & Subscription Cancellation

For authors or researchers registering for IJCERT-sponsored conferences, workshops, or events, the following cancellation terms apply:

  • Cancellations made within 7 days of registration: Eligible for a full refund minus any applicable transaction fees.

  • Cancellations made after 7 days but before 30 days of the event: Eligible for a 50% refund.

  • Cancellations made within 30 days of the event: Non-refundable.

For institutional or individual subscriptions to journal services, cancellations will be processed based on the agreed subscription terms. Refund requests should be made at least 30 days before renewal to avoid automatic deductions.

4. Refund Processing Time

Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within 14 business days after verification. The amount will be credited via the original mode of payment unless otherwise requested.

5. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation

To request a refund or cancellation, please follow these steps:

  1. Send a written request to [IJCERT Support] with your transaction details, manuscript ID (if applicable), and reason for the request.

  2. Our team will review and verify your claim.

  3. If eligible, the refund will be processed, and you will receive confirmation via email.
