DESIGN OF AN UNMANNED HOVERCRAFT
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper deals with the design of a hovercraft that can travel on both land and water. The hovercraft is an unmanned aerial vehicle with a maximum take-off weight of 0.8 kg. The design focuses on creating a hovercraft capable of hovering and forward motion, with considerations for stability and power-to-weight ratio. The air intake in the hovercraft plays a major role in controlling the flow of air into the skirt. This particular design features a multi-propeller hovercraft, and holes have been incorporated to optimize its performance. The hover height is set at 15 cm, and it adopts an open plenum type with a bag skirt configuration. The hovercraft design was created using CATIA.
