An Ultra Wideband Bandpass Filter using Stepped Impedance Resonators and DGS Structures

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a compact ultra-wideband (UWB) bandpass filter (BPF) with a passband covering 4.73 GHz to 10.43 GHz, featuring a bandwidth of 5.7 GHz and a fractional bandwidth of 75.2%. The filter is designed with three transmission poles in the passband and exhibits a wide stop band. The design and performance of the proposed UWB BPF are characterized using the full-wave electromagnetic simulator IE3D.
